2. The Pellet Therapy Procedure

The procedure is administered in house by our medical director. It is about a 20-minute process and patients can resume normal daily activities with no downtime. We can offer this procedure in the evenings and on weekends for patients who cannot make it during our normal hours

How Hormone Replacement Pellet Therapy Works

During a quick in-office visit, the pellet is inserted through a small subcutaneous incision into the gluteal area. This procedure involves a tiny incision using a local anesthetic and is then inserted using a trocar (a sterile surgical instrument). The incision is closed with a sterile strip and covered with an adhesive bandage. The pellet slowly dissolves over the course of three to six months as the body draws small, physiologic dosages of the hormone to maintain a more consistent delivery.
